Los Angeles: British singer Adele, who claimed taking a break from music for "four or five years", has now backtracked and said she will head to a recording studio soon.
The 23-year-old, who won six Grammy awards Sunday, is currently enjoying a new romance with Simon Konecki. She had revealed in a magazine article that she wants to take a break from her career in case working damages her love life, but following the publication of the interview, she has downplayed her comments, reports contactmusic.com.
"I've a few days off now, and then it's the Brit Awards here at home and then I'm straight into the studio. Boyyahh! 5 years? More like 5 days!" Adele wrote in a blog post Tuesday.
The "Rolling in the deep" singer's representatives also insist the star has no plans for a hiatus, dismissing her remarks as "an off-hand comment".
